Success Stories

How do you know you can have confidence in my work?

Here are some of the key successes of my career:

Beyond the Border Wales International Storytelling Festival 2011 – 2012 – established protocols for the new organisation to run the festival, raised £250k, revitalised marketing approaches and increased ticket sales compared with previous event despite downturn for industry. Produced a business plan and evaluation report that Welsh Government would like to use as exemplars.

Warwickshire County Council 2008 – 2009 – delivered complete revision of key client grants processes and full arts policy review.  Managed a small team through office move and policy changes as Head of Arts Service.

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council 2005 – 2009 – developed and delivered a new arts strategy, with traffic light action plan that was kept live beyond my time at the council; spearheaded cultural involvement in the socio-economic regeneration programme and devised the funding stream processes.

East Lindsey District Council 2002 – 2004 – rebranded Louth Literature Festival into Wolds Words, revitalised Embassy Theatre approach to marketing, key player in Lincolnshire Arts Forum.

Young Vic 2000 –2002 – devised and launched the ground-breaking audience development ‘Two Boroughs Scheme’ which offered free tickets to residents of Lambeth and Southwark and achieved a 50% new attendee rate as well as a legacy of connections with local community groups.
